Start Planning To Quit Smoking Today

Hi Future Non Smokers

You’re a smoker now and you were yesterday and the day before. Unless you make at least one definite move toward your goal to quit smoking today then nothing will have changed tomorrow.

So what can you do, it doesn’t have to be a big move, but it has to be definite with no thought of going backwards.

  • Look in the mirror and make a commitment to yourself to quit. Be honest, be brave but above all be truthful. Repeat this as many times as necessary.
  • Announce this commitment to some people in your life you care about. If they have heard it all before then find someone new. Again this has to be said with 100% commitment.
  • Start to think like a non-smoker. Go where they go, do what they do, and see yourself as a non-smoker in situations where today you would want to light up.
  • Start exercising more, do a daily walk, just like a non-smoker would, start to build up your fitness.
  • Improve your diet, eat like a healthy person would, eat as if you are healthy, which currently you are not.
  • Take a multi vitamin daily at least.
  • Each day have a few cigarettes where you breathe out through a tissue, and prepare to be appalled by the yellow discoloration on the tissue.
  • First thing in the morning pick up your ash tray and take a deep breath, and understand that at times this is how you smell to other people!
  • Delay each cigarette by five minutes. Increase this to 10 minutes tomorrow.
  • Reduce your smoking by 2 cigarettes per day for five days if you started with 20 smokes per day.
  • Look at each cigarette with complete disgust and bad mouth it, call it for what it is, a toxic expensive time waster.
  • Each day put the equal amount of money you would spend on cigarettes in a jar, work out how much this would be in a year and ten years. Think about what else you could do with that same amount of money.
  • Find some way to relax and manage your stress, without smoking.
  • Have a beer, or wine or a tea or coffee without a cigarette and focus on enjoying it.
  • After your next meal just relax and forget about smoking.
  • Take a few deep breaths and notice how good that feels.
  • Pick up the phone and book your quit smoking hypnosis appointment.
  • Turn up for your appointment and just expect to succeed.
